WC and %salt during medication?
Hi,
for prolong medication (eg. months) on daily or alternative days of dosage, are subsequent dosages calculated based on the existing water volume or the vol of WC? [concern: WC only 20%, but if dosage based on existing water vol, won't the concentration increase and be deadly?] Or is WC necessary during this period? Is 0.3% salt added in addition to the existing amount of salt concentration in the tank? [eg. existing salt conc already 0.2%, then add another 0.3% = 0.5% in total?] pls advise. Thanks. |

Yes. Unless u do 100% WC. Or, u do WC for many many time Until the salt is not there. Or else u just top up the different. BTW, there is no need to add salt for nothing. So if u now add 0.3% salt. Then after treatment, u did not add in any more. The after a few month of WC, 1 day ur aro sick. U wan to add salt again. U will have to add 0.3% salt. |

For me, when I do a 20-30% water change, I will calculate the volume of the amount of new or aged water you put in. Then use the tank conversion chart that if found in the main page and calculate how much of salt you need to add based on 0.3% salt.

based on the feedback so far, i suppose the whole idea is to maintain the concentration. Does this apply to the dosage of medicine put in during WC as well? |
