Wants to get a new chiller...recommend pls.

Hey guys,

These days, my resun CL 650 is running extend periods of time, especially after i on my MH. Not very economic, and my electrical bills shoot up like $250 more. My stand is that either this chiller needs servicing, or its not able to support my tank at all.

Decide to change a chiller for good, so that its more economic in the long run.

What hp chiller should i get for a tank that is 4x2x2 and with a sump of 3x1.5x1.5? I think the total volume of water is about a 7ft. Do you guys have any brands to recommand?

I heard that daeil is good...and is e replica of artica? What are the price ranges?

Which method is your Chiller connected?

1) Input from Sump and Output back to Sump
2) Input from sump and output to display tank
3) Input from display tank and output to display tank.

bro, sorry to hijack thread, but I have a similar situation.
my setup is #2, i take water from the sump next to my return pump
and output directly to the display tank.

Did you clean or vacuum the front panel of the chiller as a dirty or "clog" filter will cause the chiller inefficiency?

A DAEIL 1/3hp DBM-250 will do a very good job cos i try it on my 4x2x2.5 and it will cost u $1600.

Can get it from Henry .

Is the exhaust from the heater very hot? ... as in if i place the chiller in my living room which is not too airy, will it turn the living room into a sauna?...
