Salt will be needed as I believe your aro just got into new environment and kind of stress. It will need the salt to encourage the slim on the fish to relieve the stress. The fish not eating cos is still new to the tank.I am advising these base on the fish just got into your tank less than 2 to 3 weeks. |

i thought that 0.1% of aquarium salt is okay for Aros under normal conditions and 0.3% for Sick Aros. Think encouraging or replenishing slime growth is the use of epsom salt which also aids indigestion or something to that effect.but if the aro is fine and there is no need for it.. Black water can be used to calm an Aro down...

oh and to add, think most basice is still to get a good anti chlorine/chloramine... please also make sure your tank is cycled properly.

It takes a week or so, to get the water cycled. Be patience, Aro can afford not to eat for more than 3 weeks. |
