Urgent need help please
Today I noticed scales right above where the pectoral fin comes out, right under gill cover have turned jelly like. They are still attached but no color. I noticed that my aro has been moving his pectoral fins, like trying to get something off. I changed water 50% today. I was already using salt to heal head injury and 4 scales that are protruding in the corner, only a little though. Temp is currently at 29.4 C. Anyone know what is happening and how to cure?

how long has it been for the injury & protruding scales? how's the aro's appetite? any other abnormal behaviour? it could be due to unfav water condition or some infection as a result of the injury. it's difficult to giv suggestions. Maybe u can also let us know wat type of salt & how much did u use? Water param? u may wish to see the "Sticky: Approaching a case" and provide more details. some pics will surely help. If the condition worsen, i suggest u seek treatment from a vet. Cheers. |

Just put some pics into my gallery. Can't get vet I'm in the US. Water is good but ph is at around 7.6. Still eating fairly normal about 4 to 5 crickets 2 meals a day and 1 or 2 sw. Duno if its protruding scale only 3 scales and only bent out at corner a little, probably can't even see in pic. I changed water and bubbles were seen on body, looks like maybe loosing slime coat or something.
