HELP: arowana barbel bent

my silver arowana the left barbel is bent and it looks to be a bit cut from the root.
should i leave it and will it recover?
or should i take him out and bend it back and cut a bit off, although doing this is a bit hard as fish is pretty big 60cm?

it kinda looks aweful to look at now

last time wat i did is cover the tank wif newpaper..
