pectoral fin
Dear bros
that means i have to cut out the remaining dangling piece of the main bone to allow the new bone to grow back. The bone is totally broken only left the fins attached dangling, how do i cut it away? must i transquilize it? tks for all advice |

thats interesting... only left the main bone. similar to what i am encountering right now. my xback left pectoral fin looked liked 1" kana bitten and the membrane (or whatever u call it) was scraped off, left the main bone and soft bone/tissues. i noticed the soft bones are whittling away but the main bone remains. not sure if it is dead, ie need to cut or leave it to recover. juz happened 2 days ago so now monitoring.

azura, thanks for the words of comfort. the main bone seems to be rotting away but stopped at the healthy part. the other soft tissues/bones are gone and new tissue can be seen to start growing again. amazing... all within 2 days!
