Hello there,
I need advise on how to help my aro correct its droppy left eye? It happened when it jumped, during feeding, and hit the tank cover. Regards and thanks for the advise |

maybe minimise low-moving objects outside the tank...avoid allowing the food to sink to the bottom of tank & avoid tankmates (incl live shrimps) tat swims @ the bottom. let's see wat others hav to advise |

looks a bit bad if it's due to injury ...is there any other injury observed around the eye/head? is it able to move the eye? btw, how big is ur aro? can u reconfirm tat it's not developed over a period of time ? |

Droopy eye blues
Hi Wan wan,
There are no visible injuries on the aro. It was not developed over time as it just happened about a week ago. The eye can still move just that it can't look up. Thus, any floating food will only get eaten when its right eye sees it. Anyway, the guys at the fish shop told me to put ping pong balls into the tank. They say that it might help the aro to look up and maybe correct its eye on its own. Hope it works. My aro is about 9" now. It might catch up with my other aro soon. Regards |
