Regulate your feeding and lay off hard shelled prey items like superworm and cricket. Use market prawns or feeder fish. Do not overfeed during this period. It should go off by itself in due course. It should not be life-endangering. Hope your aro recovers soon.

starve it for a few days and monitor, meanwhile try introducing new feeds like mp or feeder fishes.

hi there, just 2let u guys know, swollen anus or protuding anus is very fatal if not treated or watch carefully.advanced stages causes the fish not to pass out waste(shit),no doubt fish still eat but they wont shit.those faeces will accumalate inside the belly n cause bloat belly, fish becomes sluggish, not swimming majestically(trying to stabilised it self 4balance).always take precaution in feeding fish(overfeeding)give softer feed eg:frogs, market prawns(meat only, shell off).starve the fish if u have too 1 or 2 days.i ever had fish which causes same sympton.after it died,i dissected the fish n found that inside the belly contains black mass of digested food which becomes faeces n cannot be discharge out.
