Default Aromedics....Please Listen To My Story

4days ago....my aros in my comm had a bad fight!!

one of my aros actually tore the gill of the other aro!!....practically the whole of the hard gills...leaving it dangling and showing flesh around the top of the head area where the scales starts!!

4 days later...i thought i should not leave the hard gills dangling....so...i decided to opt the fish.

i did the neccesary procedure....lowered the water...bagged the fish....transmore....fish K.O.ed....took the fish out....cut the hard gills....apply anti-septic.....put back the fish into the tank....and fish now swimming as per normal......

but the thing is....i realized that the part i cut which was left dangling...was the flesh part!!......

the question now is HOW??....stopped bleeding already....but will it recover?!!!.......will the hard gills and the flesh grow back??

please advice!!....thks!!

personally,

i dont think that it will heal back . one of my aro use to tore his gill plate due to attack from luohan... i just ignore it and it grow back.... of coz, still can see the bite mark.

as for your case,i think the best thing to do now is maintain a very good water paremeter.

i am sorry if i cudnt help much.hope your aro will recover soon

Wow! really my heart pain, seeing the open wound.
Anyway dun worry, just take care of her and do more wc with antibiotics.
naturally it would heal at a longer time.
all the best!!!

seriously,if i see my aro's gillplate dangling there,i wud have cut it too.

imagine u left it like that...suddenly other tankmates go and bite the dangling gillplate = (

pls remember to maintain a good water parameter.

if i am not mistaken, the appetite of that aro has been reduced.try to give him his favourite food and make him eat more.

Dun worry so much, wat happen, has happened.
just observe water parameter & leave by herself for less stress.
Antibiotics very important as to prevent any infection.
Not to over feed her.
