redcross barbel

I noticed that my largest rtg's barbel is not smooth.

what I mean is that both the barbels are a little jagged (like saw teeth).

anyone can explain?

It swims perfectly fine, very slight cloudy eye.

Most probably due to bad water condition. Maybe you post some pics here to let the aromedics to see.

Default some white dots on the barbels

both the barbels.

contemplating using a pen knife to gently scrap it. of course under transmore.

most likely bacteria infection from water quality.

anyone has suggestion/experience on above?

you can consider them as very small pimples I think. if you stare hard at them, you can see them.

not as smooth as they should be.

then I will leave it as that for time being, instead of performing operation
cos I am not sure if I overscrap the bugger's barbels, then next time it loses part of its sense.....hahaha....

I also not sure. cos small the time did not see it. then when grow up, a little squidy. anyway monitoring now cos very large aros also very smooth barbels.

so change water more often for now with pimafix and melafix. see what happens.

according to LFS, it can be a bacterial infection that will go away over time...just like our pimple. either that or do the operation for faster effect.
but I cannot conduct such operation before and afraid I snap off the fragile barbel. so thought better leave it as such and let it cure on its own.
