Default RTG not eating...

Hi bros, my RTG has stopped eating for about 1 and a half months now and I'm kind of worried . I know that its quite normal. Also I saw a little bump like growth on its top rear fin. Its been jumpy recently and that has resulted in a few dropped scales. What should I do? Please advise. Thanks.

bro, how's ya water condition ?? jumpy aro may be caused by ya water condition. or u can try adding blackwater to calm him down. as for not eating... it is veryy normal for aros.. but 1 1/2 month is kinda long leh !! hmm... i'm not a pro in aro, but juz sharing my views. probably u can change some food ( different variaty) see whether he wanna eat anot. besides that, maintain good water condition. the drop scales will recover de..

Bro. get your test kits and check your water parameters. Also check your tanks p.h using a digital p.h pen.

How are your aro. eyes looking like now. Still crystal clear or a bit dull.

Water is alright, I had my friend check it for me. The eyes are still clear though. So i don't think its the water parameters. I tried feeding with superworms which is something different from its usual of MP and BF, but it just looked at the worm and went off... shucks damn heartpain...

Bro Carnaval,

If water condition is ok. Add some tankmates for you aro. Aro tend to get "lazy" when there is no competition for food.

Prolonged 'fasting' can be due to sickness.. from your gallery it looks like having pop-eye, sometimes an indication of liver problems. If your water is ok, i'm not sure what else you can safely do to fix.. but be careful about medicating especially the problem has not been positively pinpointed. Very often medication cause the water to go out of whack and make matters worse. Maybe seek expert advice from an aro vet if you can especially if your aro continue to exhibit abnormal behavior.

(BTW maybe you should not give it new foods especially now when it is reluctant to eat. Perhaps it will be easier to make it feed by providing what it has been used to eating before.)
