Default Maroon "bulldozing" clown

My female maroon clown is constantly sweeping the sand from my sandbed (there goes my DSB) and she even moves quite big pieces of liverock around (landscape fartist at work). As though she is always not happy about sumthing around her place. she wants to rescape the whole 4 feet tank.

Anyone has any idea wat i can do to stop this behaviour? wud an anenome or a mate help?

LS in 4' tank:
1 Maroon Clown
1 sailfin tang
8 chromis
1 cleaner shrimp
1 sallylightfoot

very scared of getting anemone. lost 3 already. all to the powerheads. also I notice if the anemone choose to sit near the bottom, the itchy maroonclown will also sweep the floor below the anemone.

Does anemone need very low nitrate levels and very bright light? 4tubes of 3ftT5NO enuf of not? tank depth 16".

Yes, anemones need relatively clean water and strong lights. In addition, current also plays a part. 4 tubes of 3ft NO T5 is definitely insufficient for anemones IMO.

IMO, the biggest problem about anemones is that they move about so the next specimen you buy can very well get stuck again.

My male and female maroon clowns will sometimes "reverse" into the sand, tilt 45 degrees upwards, then flap their tailfins really hard. I have no idea why they do that. They have been doing that everyday for a few times (when I happen to look at them).

They are well-fed and housed happily in a big anemone.

I suppose this is a good thing as they shake up the detritious material so that they can be skimmed away. I wonder what is in their mind when they do that.
