what kind of servicing you are talking abt? There is an article on chemical cleaning in the marine article forum.

Coz the chiller is 2nd hand so i thought might be a good idea to send it for a bit of servicing before i start using it.... Just like buying 2nd hand cars Maybe top up the gas or stuff like that... 1st time using chiller so i have absolutely no idea what to do with it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated |

Basically you check the titanium coil condition. Make sure you can see a dull silver color, spray the coils with a high powered spray nozzle. Make sure that the condensing coil is clean, try to brush the dirt away. If the dirt cannot be "dry cleaned". Come over to yew tee and I can pass you some cleaning agent and teach you how to DIY chemical clean. Its a common myth that chillers need to top up gas. You only need to top up when there is a leakage which is very common in household aircon systems. If its manufactured properly, it will be a 100% seal. |

So if i ask the service man to come over and service it, he would most probably do the same task as u mention right? |

i guess it will be the same if you ask for the serviceman to do it for you. you diy will be good and at least you know how to maintain your chiller. once your chiller is "clean up". run it and see whether there is hot air blowing at the condenser side. that's mean your chiller is running alright.
i guess you chiller model shouldn't have any problem. it is a good chiller. |
