Please help me identify what it is
My aro has not been eating well for over two months now and I suspect that the red spots are the cause. Can folks please help me identify what are the red spots on my aro body and possibly prescribe effective medicine. Tq.

If eating well and swimming actively, just maintain good water parameters will do.

it would probably be a case of acclimatisation problem...just add some BW into the water and see if the red will be more calm... |

Well...if I remember correctly when it was small it only had one red spot. Then three more developed and now it has four red spots.
A few days ago I treated the fish with Ocean Free Super Disease Away which I think is Potassium Permanganate and I notice that one of the spot actually got less red. That is why I suspect that it might be the cause of problem. After "scary" treatment session, the fish did survive but it has not gained its appetite yet (not like my golden red which was treated first that gains its appetite back in only three days). So I add Stress Coat which contains aloe vera that according to the experts in this forum is good to boost appetite and it does. My aro starts to eat again. Its first meal after a long time was three big wild caught crickets and it just made me so happy. As a precaution, I am now running UV 24 hour to make sure nothing is in the way of recovery. Thank you for all the assistance given. |
