Water Lice - a real pest

Hi All,

Need some help and advice.

My fish has definitely been infested by water lice. Didn't notice until recently. This tiny transparent saucer-like creatures. Ok, I have read about dimilin/dimirn and even Ocean Free. Went down to try get dimilin but cannot find. So I bought Eiho (its states specifically for Lice/AW treatment.)

Has anyone got experience with this medication?

I change about 20% water, then added the medication according to the dosage recommended but the stupid creatures are still stucked comfortably there.

Here are my questions which I hope you kind souls can help answer:

1. Do I stop feeding and changing the water while letting the medication take effect?

2. Is 24 hours too early to expect any effect to happen?

3. What will eventually happen? The lice will just drop off and die or what?

4. Which shop in Spore sell Dimilin? (Just in case Eiho doesn't work)

Just to ask all expert out there, will some small fishes like TFB or TB helps to clear the lice?

Water lice? I nv see it before. Are they deadly to the fishes??

saw once and it is very unsightly and they said it is due to bad water condition./

I see... Thanks for info!

Hmmm. Would suggest adding heater and aquarium salts to kill these pest before adding any medication.. But when using heater just need to make sure that the temp is in the species tolerance range..

I feel tat small fish will love to eat them lei. Fishes see moving water creture will most of the time snap them up instantly

Yes, agree. They do eat these small creatures.. Like my African Cichlids sees the fresh made poos of my pearl also eat and never spit out..

bro need not change water just add dimilin n on heater can liao
