Default Gill Curl on Left Side of Aro

Hi, my RTG has a slight curl gill on the left side while the right side is alright. As this is the first time I am encountering this, I would need some advice. I read that water change and putting salt are methods to improve the situation.

Anyway for me to cure it besides performing an operation? Please advice. Thanks.

not sure what you mean by curling inwards, but the gill is opening in the sense. think it is outwards.

Temperature seems ok. I suspect it was my water, sadly...

I actually spoke to a LFS owner in Yishun today and he mentioned that I may need to perform an operation to cut away the soft gill, or worse even the hard gill portion if serious. More likely I may need to get professional to get the work done.

Meanwhile I am looking for a 5 or 6 ft tank to house my RTG. Maybe can perform operation and then transfer it into the new tank if I am able to get it.

Any advice and suggestion? Thanks.

I think the main part curl out a bit, but the membrane part (at the end) curl in. Same with me prev aro too.

Other than op, try to use power head to blast for the aro for a few days. Op sometimes can be risky hor. Simple op but my prev aro did not recovery from transmore.

When adding Transmore, just make sure dont overdose. Also, get the operation done up asap should reduce casualty
