Default ich problem

anyone knows how to eliminate ich problems? recently i have noticed that one of my tanks have fishes rubbing their bodies against the glass surface of the tank once in awhile. i suspect its ich. is adding a heater really effective in curing ich? i have alr added alot of salt and done full water changes every 3-4days but it doesnt seem effective. or does anyone know of any medicine capable of effectively removing ich? personally i have tried a few, and i over dosed them, but it seems useless

Heater will kill off the ich but needs time as there're a few cycles to rid off ...what fishes are infected?

Ich dies from 30 degrees onwards. If your fishes can take it, 32 degrees would be a better call (To compensate for any inaccuracies of your thermometer) because ich thrives at 26 degrees but if the temp was between 27 to 29, their lives cycle speed up and they might just reproduce more newer eggs & kill your fish sooner.

Maintain the warm temp for a week and add salt. I have had good experience using a product from Aqumedi (Can't remember which name) but it is a mixture of formalin + malachite green. Please find out if your fishes are resistant to high temp, salt & meds before administering treatment.

Hehe, that's overkill IMO. ie formalin plus malachite green. It's real powerful stuff but if you use it, must be prepared for a knockout of your bb.
It should be easy to get rid of it just by increasing temp to 30 deg and adding salt. Keep it like that for a couple of weeks and it should be alright.
However, you need to know if there are fishes in your tank that cannot take salt, e.g. rays.

wow thank you everyone! i will try adding heaters since its highly recommended have already added like slightly over 1kg of salt to around 400plus liters of water but doesnt work. and actually my tank is under the sun,no idea why the ich is so resistant. which shop carries formalin plus malachite green combination? if the medication is effective, do i still have to use the heaters for 1 week? because i am having quite a headache adding additional plugs due to space constraint and overloading. thanks again to all bros who helped!
