I do not know the reason if the water perimeter is ok. my tank is 1 years old size 5x2x2 with sump. with 1 13" red and 4 BP.

Cloudy eyes is due to internal bacteria and excessive external bacteria bloom. For normal case: if your fish suddenly got cloudy eyes after massive water change, massive feeding, no apparent reasons, its due to bacteria bloom. The most simple and harmless way to your fish is to use Potassium Permaganate. Add a few crystal till tank water is mid purple colour. After some time, from 5mins to 4 hours, the purple will turn reddish to brown, add the same dose again. Repeat this for three dose (only after water turn brown) and perform 50% water change. Normally the cloudy eyes will go off in a couple of days. PP is used to oxidise the bacteria and parasite in the tank. [B]Please note that PP will also eradicate your biological bacteria! If the cloudy eyes had been persistence for more than a week, you can use Sera Baktopur Direct. It comes in tablet form and is more stable with longer shelf life than liquid med. Hope these help.

I would recommend you to do more water changes first before administer and medication.

My aro likes to jump, so cloudy eye is a common sight. One thing that I do use is having UVC for my tank. This helps to keep bacteria in check and the aro can self heal. I also add aleo vera solution to the tank. Other types of chemical, I keep out because overdose can be fatal and also the long term health effect, which i may not know.
