actually why are you getting this camera for? the main use of this cam? cos both of your cams you mentioned are very pro but they have their own limitations. it would be good if you could go to www.dpreview.com to read thru their reviews... most users go there to compliment or complain on the pros and cons

i love the DR on this cam...colours are superb! i have been contemplating for awhile now... and set my heart on the s5 recently only... minus the freebies... the body cost abt 1k... i have been going round to ms and cathay... ms left with
1 or 2 sets. cathay lagi jialats... no more sets already when their shipment of 30 sets arrived no more thn 5days ago...(i went ytd).. i also found out the many ppl in cs are getting another spare set as there might not be a s6pro in future.

so if i dont grab this chance to get one now...i might not have the chance too...

ok the main use for this cam is portrait, landscape. some macros..

if you love the colours... get it cos no other dslr can give the same results. [unless you spend a lot of time on post processing.]
s5pro price has dropped from nearly 3k to 1k ... it will serve you well in terms of landscape and macro. it is EXCELLENT for portraits since the skin tone it produces is highly accurate... have you thought of the lenses you wanna buy?

fishNchips, congrats!!! new camera liao!
your photo is very nice and sharp
usually for animals, we try to get eye contact.
for insects, try to capture the eye sharp. [unless you are trying to focus on the leg or body pattern]
this is my macro long long long time ago
my eye sight is bad so i gave up macro...
link one
link two

btw, 80-200 is solid good... can try 70-200 also!! [poison poison]
shoot more aquarium shots and post here too!
