Bites on Female Ray

Hi bros,

i've got a pair of motoro ray, size is about 10+inches for the male with recently grown clasper and female ray at 9inches...

this morning woke up to see 2 big bite wounds on the back of the female ray although i have fed them well just the night before.

what would these bites indicate? possible that the male is ready to breed and the female is not cos usually female rays breed only when hit around 11-12 inches? possible that such a pairing will work? where the female is smaller than the male.

my male is ard 12-13" n female ard 7-8". the female always get chased after n bites fr the male. but they will not mate till the female mature.

one thing is my male did not purposely chase n bite the female when she was younger. only in the past 1-2 mths when the female is bigger.

it may b a sign of aggression too.

My female moto is about 14 inches and male is 12 inches with fully developed claspers, only thing is the male is not `horny' or hardworking enough..Totally no action at all....What is worst is that sometimes I see my female chasing the male around...Really don't know what to do..

The occurrences of the bites seems to coincide with the growth of the male's clasper over the past 1-2 months....
Tat's the reason why i suspect could be the male eager to spawn...

It is alway the case when a pair become older and started to become interested in opp sex. So bite is a form of interest shown even they may not be ready to mate.

This is One of the reason why some ppl rather keep all female because chances of bite is lesser!
