It's possible to win at soccer betting, win at 4D and strike toto. The odds are different. Generally if you want to keep P14, don't bother keeping with any other ray.
P14 can crossbreed, but the possibility is like striking 4D. There are probably more albino pearls around.... |

it is possible, but what is the point of contaminating the true line of a particular type of rays?

Cross breeding across is entirely possibe.
From my Ray farm visits, I've already encoutnered 2 CB for the 1st time. PDR x Tiger Pearl x Hystrix Both offsprings were gorgeous! |

anything is possible.
if you get a male that will prity much aggresivley mate with any female in teh tank, once removed from their own species and placed into another tank with a nother type. It should get them to breed. So it really comes down to 2 things. 1. Female is mature and ready to mate 2. Male is aggressively mating allready (for best chances) But in saying that u will have the odd pair taht work without any work. but thats fish for you |

If it's based on looks, then you will be surprised how easily forth or fifh generation hybrids can fool even the experts. As for health issues, hybrids tend to be healthier, breed easier and have more pups. If it's survival of the fittest, hybrids will win hands down. The number of rays in hobbyist hands are very limited. Too much inbreeding will doom the species even faster. Preserving certain looks should be done, but at a middle ground of acceptance. Anyway the truth is that at least 90% of the worlds top breeders are breeding hybrids whether they admit it or not. |
