Suitable to Tanning?
Hi bros and sis,
May I know: 1. What is the suitable size for aro to go through NAN light tanning? 2. Is it better to do it individually? I am currently having a comm with silvers and a green. 3. How long should I switch on for tanning? I am afraid may "deep fried" the aros...hehehe... Just bought a NAN and all these questions suddenly came up...sigh..should have... |

I think 10 inches is quite alright and to tan with NAN is pretty safe.
But do monitor the behaviour of your aros (i.e appetite, stress, etc) and do the hours gradually. Start with 3hrs and increase accordingly. Here's a good read. http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=204283 |

imo, u can start anytime regardless of size/age, younger better ... juz my opinion...
best is to maintain 1 light ON 24/7 at the top & ON ur nan for 8-10hrs daily... the colour will come gradually & intensify as they grow bigger... use timers to condition the fish, so there's no stress to the fishes due to irregular light timings... |
