Aro change in behavior.
Need adivse/tips with my Arowana. Its currently 16 - 18 inches,
tank is 300 Gal. It used to have a really good appetite, will takes lots of mp and sw. but about 2-3 weeks ago i noticed a change it doesn't beg for food much and would be seen resting at the buttom of the tank. what could be the problem, Also about 3 weeks ago it banged itself against the glass a few times when i was wiping the tank glass, not sure if this will be the cause for appetite loss? also just wondering if aros get hexamita? i noticed it siometimes faces back of the tank, as my experience with discus is they face back of the tank when thye have hexa. it still eats sw, but not much appettite for mp |

if there's no visible diseases seen, then it could be that its trying to rest - away from lights & water currents... i notice this with my red aro. cos i'm keeping a submersible light ON for 24/7, with top lights On when i'm back home & viewing. also the wavemaker is ON 24/7 to blow the poo to the underflow. so the aro juz stay at an area where there's less lights and little water current...
hope this helps ... |

Maybe you can consider to change your anti chorine to other reputable brands. Used to use the same brand for my fish but changed to others after discovering many fakes ones in market. Putting fake anti chorline is as good as never put anything. Hope this helps...... |
