Aro jumped out of tank to the floor!!
Need advise!
While trying to transfer my aro from 1 tank to the other, it managed to jump out of the tank and onto the cement. the drop was about 6 ft I managed to pick him up and drop into old tank. I've dosed with melafix and also added stresscoat. Any other advise? this sucks so far his swimming posture is ok, except for the lots of drop scale and dirt on his body , anything else i should look out for? |

Hi
Happened to my aro years back and it moves like a snake on the floor for a few meters.i quickly put it back inside the tank, all fins damaged very badly and lost a lot of scales.i add salt and put heater and covered the tank`s glasses with newspapers and got healed within 2 weeks.hope this method can help you, good luck.

thanks for the advise. Aro seems to be normal, I've fed him some superworms and he was extremely hungry, would it be wise to continue with th etank transfer?
in the smaller tank i'll be able to dose with melafix. |

u can lower the water level before catching it. Easier for u to bag it and lesser water for it to jump so high.
