Gv your fish some time to get use to new environment. Patience Bro. Check your water, add black water to calm this new arrival, maybe some tankmates or try aro vital.

From my observation.. Aro sometimes need a little competition to spur them to eat more..

My aro comm RTGs and Silvers. All rush to whack food.. MP, pellets, feeders, Mini BFs, BFs, SW!

Everything they also whack..

But most impt is yr water parameters. and if aro new to environment, let it settle down first

May i ask why you still get the aro when it was not even eating well in the previous owner's place? There are too many reason why the aro is not eating well, maybe water, maybe it is scare, maybe got internal worm, etc....

Be patience and as long as your water parameter is good. Then there is no worries on getting ur aro to eat.

i realised its a common problem. many ppl complaint their aro go on fasting mood for many weeks or months and then suddendly started eating ...

many ppl also claim comm tank no such problem cuz all snatching food but not true for me, one particular fish (alpha fish) always refuse to eat.

i notice my aros have the habit of snapping things that falls on their head/lips ( u read the news of that Msian who ate his aro after kena bitten?) so i always deliberately throw SW and MP whenever they swim near me and they will snap.... chew .... eat or spit out!!
can try this method
