redcross Need Help - Severe Ich?

I recently got an XB from a friend. The XB was in a Comm. and was already pretty beat up. For the first few days, it started to heal and was eating properly. Everything seemed fine.

Then, some spots appeared on its tail. At first, I thought it was some scar tissues, since the XB was pretty beat up. But the spots spread across its scales and it got worse. Also, some kind of "tumors" started growing underneath its scales. They are white and red, containing blood I assume.

The aro face also seems puffed-up. As if something was blowing up underneath its face.

I have never encountered something like this before, and I am not sure if it is Ich (White Spots) or some other kind of infections.

Around a week ago, I have raised the water temperature to 32C and added salt already. It did not seem to help. Today, I have added an Ich Medecine (Nox-Ich) and I am still praying that it helps.

If anybody has some inputs about the possible disease and some ways to help, it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached some pictures.

Regards,

My condition improve after i add in epson salt and turn the heater to 32cc, condition improve alot but can see 1 scale damage by the itch. From what i see the itch can be quite serious if not treated. Just by 2 day the damage can be serious.

Anyway , i have add in mutilcure( the greenish liquid type) and the condition has been stable and from what i see this morning, the itch is gone.

Will monitor for another day and change the water by 60% tomorrow.

The cause is likely water condition and stress. add heater, salt and Ich medication. Best UVC the water sure to clear all bacteria and diseases. Wish your aros speedy recovery.

Most of the disease and illness come from the water condition, if 1 were to use UV the bacteria are sure to gone but not forgetting the good bacteria esp iif 1 were to use slump filteration.

That doesnt look like Ich to me. Even for a fish with extreme Ich, it wouldnt show signs of redness or in any case grow bigger and lumpy. Looks more like a fungus or a external parasite infection.

Recommend that you try a anti-fungal or external parasite med and see how it goes. Den again, Im no Aro expert..so maybe other bros can advice you

Bro if I like u everyday just water change about 20% and use good anti chlorine like Prime Seachem . Filter wool need to clean after WC and put heater what u do is correct maintain at 30-33'C this help to expedite the fungal life cycle. Salt is a must every water change 1teaspoon - 4 liters mix the salt then pour to the tank try this method first if fungal still there need strong medication but for me I don't like to use medication cause kill all BB in the filter. If u use tap water direct turn the flow slowly dont forget to put anti cholrine first .This is the easy method my 2 cents experience.
