Pleco Sudden Death Syndrome
hi
I have a 1.5ft tank with underwater filter its a comm tank with KBL x 1 and Oscar x 1, about 3 inches each everytime i put in a pleco, it dies within a day its like i see it swimming around for a while, then the nxt thing i know i see it floating belly up in the tank after a few hours. yesterday was the 4th pleco death already. i really dun noe wats going on, the KBL and oscar are all dam healthy and theres no sign of being bitten on the pleco anyone has any idea what can cause a pleco to die within a day? thanks! (also, i use plecos primarily to clean the tank. anyone has any idea how to clean the tank with other types of creatureS? thanks!) |

You can use a magnetic cleaner to clean your tank walls.. settle your water first before adding more livestocks. Your oscars white spots is probably down to poor water condition. With good water you won't need to add salt so often.
