You can install a heater to raise the temperature and add salt. These days the water temperature is rather cold so fishes will be more prone to ich or whitespot.

I believe its due to the cold weather as my puffer also got it. Just as TuNA said add salt and heater for more then a week should cure your fish and try not to give it anymore stress as stress will weaken its immune system and increasing the breakout of white spots.

From my personal experience and advice from bros here. I added one tablespoon per 5 gallons of water and raised the temperature to 31C which is to speed up the life cycle of the parasites that caused the white spot and did water change once every two days which helps to remove the some parasites at the free swimming stage. (3 stages if i remembered correctly)

However do take note that it is important to maintain the temperature as sudden fluctuation does more harm. Also top up the water gradually and not all at one go.

Your fish should have no problem recovering as mine had already done so!
