Default PRLs before they knew they were PRLs.....

Found some old photos of some of my CRS. In theory these can be considered PRLs as they originated from a source that never had any goldens mixed into them. Anyway there were not that many golden/snow whites those days anyway.

These shrimp were from 2006

A BDS

If you noticed one thing, those days the females are easily identified and also the size of the CRS are much larger than the ones we have nowadays.

Yup. Females are much bigger that time. Nowadays I also don't see bigger females as often as before. Could it be too much in-breeding?

I think so. Too much selective breeding for all sorts of patterns and colours. Don't know if it is a good thing or not.

aww, really wasted. if not can be Singapore's PRL liao. 2006 - 2011, 5 years ~

most CRS nowadays are selected for pattern and colour more, no one goes for size. maybe thats why nowadays shrimps getting smaller and smaller.

If as long the CRS doesn't produce golden mean they are PRL like that some people won't accept this kinda reasoning one.

Yah. I saw those debate when i just started rearing shrimps and those thread was like 2005-2006. Worry about faded white colours 3-4 generations later.
