Any new additions to the tank before the tig got these white spots?

May try dosing med for ich/whitespots. Recomend brand by "waterlife" for catfishes.
Increasing temp to 30 will help also during treatment.

um, well i introduced a nileperch a while ago, but i moved him out of the tank 1 day after. Okay, but the thing is that he looks fine overall, eats well as usuall and does not act different... so mabye it's unnecessary to use medicine..?

When it starts acting different, the chances of curing it drops by 50%. Do it while it can be cured.

Like bro Matthew mentioned above. Salt, if possible, avoid. If dose wrong amount, could harm the catfish even more.
