I believe it dislocated its lower jaw/mouth , must be attacking other fishes and over exert its strength since you had just arrive home so it was probably not due to feeding. I had never experience this before but i would suggest pushing it back with ur hand and stop feeding for few weeks to see if it can somehow get back to normal? this is just my suggestion , hope those that had experience it can help you out.

I read this thread a few days back that has the same problem as you but i am not sure whether is it helpful to you or not.

You can actually push the protruding part back bro.

Last time my IT got a fish stuck in its mouth... Can't swollen and can't spit it out... I took my it out and removed the stuck fish in its mouth using a tweezers. Then gently pushing the transparent part of the protruding part in a 45 degrees manner in the 4 corners. It should pop back into his mouth. However, the lip may still appear slightly protruding for a while (depending how long its mouth was in this position).

After a week or so should be back to normal. No worries one!!

Hope my methods works for you!!

Cheers

Thanks all for the help. Managed to push in only halfway. Not sure if I had done the correct way but it really requires abit of strength to do it. Dun dare to push too hard, afraid might bread the whole jaw.

Will keep all updated

Cheers!
