Default Need some advise

Hi everyone , i have a small problem and hope can get some advise from the experts .. I have many drift woods in my tank .. And they start to have those small dust on them and is getting more and more covering the whole woods is making my water very dirty after i do WC .. Is there anything i can do to improve ? Thought of getting some algae eater but The dust is white colour not green so may not be algae .. Can give some advise ?? Thank you !!

any chance at all you can take all the wood out and brush them (with your hands) in a bucket of the same aquarium water? then do a water change?

Can bro .. But is very hard to remove all and wash .. Lazy la haha ...
So want to see if can do other way ...

How you do you water change?
With hose, just run the hose along the wood, remove as much of the dirt as possible.
Or can use some pleco to clean the wood, any from the Panaque family will do a wonderful job.
Anyway since you have substrate in the bottom, the dirt will just collect there and you have a harder time clearing it.
Or use those gravel cleaner to run through the substrate and wood.

I brush my dw when doing major water change to remove this kind of dirt n algae.Use a soft brush will do.

Thanks bro maybe will consider getting the plecos and see if it will be better
