orange ranchu with black scales

is the above genes or disease ?

I am not into expensive ranchu, I just buy those $5-$20 Qian Hu to decorate tank.

I will visit 39 ST as I've just read a thread on that.

looks like the black scales disappear ..maybe it is due to water ?

anyway ..mother nature is a mystery
