aro breathing heavily

Need advise from bros here
Juz do water change normal 30%
Add newly open seachem safe anti chlorine powder
As per dosage( normal routine)
After bout haf hour my red breathing heavily
& seems oso like floating tail up
Swimming slowly not like usual!
Btw juz found the seachem safe powder smells different
Not like usual smell like acid!
Its newly opened
Any advise
Now monitoring my aro been 2 hrs like dat

do take note when doing WC, sometime can cause more problem.. e/g temp diff,
try to dissolve the anti-chlorine powder properly then slowly put in new water

Bro its normal routine wc only wen the aro breathing abnormal den i check the newly open seachem safe
& it smells terrible not like usual
Will go back to lfs to check with them

TS, my seachem safe powder also do have smell. smell like pungent smell something like tat. if more user can confirm this. then guess should be normal.
as for dosage. i dosage more then required. 50% of 522 tank. i dosage abt 2 teaspoon (premix with tank water 1st then pour in in a way as try to evenly spread out). then slowly top up water direct from tap.

btw. do you feed before wc?

Bro yes the powder do hav smell but i hav used the balance bottle for my other fishes no problem but come to my aro(the old bottle finish liao) im using the new bottle open up scoop 2 ts mix with tank water den start to put new water

Bro, how is your aro now?

For the next wc, drain off smaller amount of tank water

topping up at a slower rate after mixing the seachem powder.

btw, me using the seamchem prime.

So far so good & economical

for a 422, just 15ml is suffice.
