Unhappy protruding scales

bro... rearing this fish for one year+... tank have been cycled... moreover this was noticed by my wife 3 to 4 days back... i have decreased the water level to 50% and have also increased salt level to 0.3% temp brought down to 30 deg... so far no changed(maybe to early to say)... lastly no colour change to the affected scales... is there anything else to add... still very worried & puzzled....

U've done just abt all there is to do. Try to cut down feeding to hlp maintain the water condns at prime. Perform more frequent small qty water change while keeping the salt concentration at 0.3%. I don't think its a case of dropsy. Yr aro may hv jumped n injured itself. Do update us on its progress.

I'd reduce feeding till the aro recovers. That's one way to keep the water clean.

Bro... that means i should feed once a day instead twice... so is it advisable to stick wif pellets or feed wif live feeders?

Once a day is more than enough n don't overfeed eventhough yr aro is showing great appetite. Feed it 70% the amt of food u usually feed.

I won't use feeders. High risk of introducing disease n parasites into yr tank.

Avoid feeder fishes, if you can.
