I suspect either parasite or oddball case of bang something in tank. Can anyone gimme an idea as to what it could be and how to 'fix' it ?

Unfortunately, my 1st pic of my new aro is when it has this condition

Thanks everyone

Bro. i think is the water temp. like mine also the same like yr. When the aro

turn U can see it . Just add air & heather. After a few day the scale will heal

back.Or U can go to the web site and read about it. That is where i learn

it from.

Thank You

If one of the scale just popped up and you dun see any sore or inflammation underneath the scale then you got not much to worry about. It should close by when some salt and raise temp is introduced. But if you do see some sore or inflamation underneath the scale, then do focus more and add medication with raise temp.

Default scales

hi i jus noticed my 13in S red also have some dropsy scales on left side , eating well ,but now it always stays in the corner or side..some itching or bacteria i think , scales visibly not level like the rest.

Hope its nothing serious and add some salt and change water .

i have similar problem, and i think we are bluffing ourselves that it can be cured.

it will NEVER go away unless the scales are peeled off and new scales comes.

When aro turns or internal filter blows at it, the scales flap up . U will realise those scales no longer "stick" to its body.

till now , no matter what medicine or water change or salt, it will never go away.

Unless we hear from some professional aro vet and put in the right medicine.
